Plans have been announced by a Bradford firm for 138 new self-built homes this year. Each of the houses will be built by its new owner and the owners of surrounding properties under the supervision of the management company Wadsworth and Heath Ltd, of Bradford. Sixteen of the new homes will be at Newsome in Huddersfield, 39 at Jennyfields Lane in Harrogate, 11 at Shelf, 24 at Hoyland, Barnsley, 24 at Middleton, Leeds, ten at Beighton, Sheffield and 14 at Coulby Newham, near Middlesbrough.

The new Vicar of Windhill, the Rev. H. Prince, visiting his church's Youth Fellowship meeting spoke to the members about wedding procedure. He explained what was meant by reading the banns, and in the marriage service by such terms as an impediment, and illustrated his points with references to the Prayer Book, and with demonstrations.
