Murder squad detectives were today probing the bizarre killing of a Bradford man whose body was found burned almost beyond recognition. The grim discovery of 30-year-old Sultan Mahmood, a father of four, was made by two men scouring waste land for scrap. They stumbled across his charred and stabbed body at lunchtime yesterday in a disused railway coalyard in desolate Dryden Street, just off Wakefield Road, near the city centre. Det. Chief Supt. Trevor Lapish, head of Bradford area CID leading the investigations, said: "He met a violent death".
