Wibsey handed their relegation-threatened rivals Otley Town a lifeline in their Mumtaz Premier Division clash.

With Wibsey leading 1-0 as half-time approached through a Cory Larvin goal, their keeper Danny Carney dropped the ball over the goal-line to bring Otley Town on level terms.

Carney, who claimed that he was fouled, persisted with his protest towards the referee and was sent off.

Wibsey struggled in the second period and were reduced to nine players when Daryl Leach was dismissed for a second bookable offence.

Otley made full use of the extra manpower and with goals from Lee Grice (2) and Ian Wolfenden swept into a 4-1 advantage.

Damian Melvin pulled one back for Wibsey but it was too late to have any effect on the result as Danny Wagstaff netted to give Otley a 5-2 victory.

Tyersal's hopes of taking the top spot before their meeting with champions Silsden next Saturday were shattered when John Lloyd scored after two minutes to give hosts Hemsworth Miners Welfare a 1-0 victory.

Tyersal's strikeforce, who have only once before failed to score this season, could make little impression on the Hemsworth defence.

Brighouse Town, who have played four games fewer than Tyersal, moved level on points after goals from Wayne Gibson and Leighton Armstrong gave them a 2-1 victory at Bay Athletic.

Campion eased their own relegation fears with a 3-0 home win over fellow strugglers Hall Green United. Lincoln Donaldson, Carl Trennery and Chris Graham scored.

Littletown's tenure in the Premier Division looks to be coming to an end. Their latest defeat, the 15th of the season, came against Ovenden West Riding, who ran out easy 4-1 winners.

With games running out for most of the Division One promotion challengers, leaders Ardsley Celtic and second-placed Heckmondwike Town are clear favourites to clinch the two promotion places.

Ardsley Celtic collected three more points with a 3-2 win over Eastmoor, while Heckmondwike Town overcame Westwood 3-1, Aiden Schofield

scoring a second-half hat-trick with John Penn netting Westwood's consolation.

Salts look to have scuppered any chance visitors Lower Hopton may have had of promotion this season, Mick Hird (2) and Gareth Carney scoring in their 3-2 victory.

Salt Old Boys are heading towards relegation. Their 5-2 defeat at Altofts leaves them five points adrift with only five games remaining.

Two victories from their final six games will guarantee Division Two leaders Farnley one of the two promotion places on offer. Mick Duee and Keenan Wong scoring for them as they beat Ventus/Yeadon 2-0.

Second-placed Halifax Irish will almost certainly top the league goal-scoring charts. They took their total in league games to 89 with a 8-1 win at Barclays, Steve Galloway netting four to take his haul for the season to 30.

Dudley Hill Athletic had to come from being 2-0 down at home to South Bradford to win 3-2 and complete the double over the league's newest club.

Rob Ellis (2) and Phil Barnes scored for Hill after a Keiron Daniels double had put South Bradford in command.

Dynamoes and Crag Road United remain on ten points each at the foot of the table, both sides losing 5-2.

Dynamoes had Ian Leadbetter and Peter Sewell on target in the first half at Morley Town but fell away to goals from Jodie Allan (2), Mark Earnshaw (2) and Clive Bullers.

A Carl Priestley penalty and a second-half effort from Scott Adams were of little use to Crag Road at Rawdon Old Boys.
