THREE young members of the Aireborough and Wharfedale Judo Club won medals on Sunday at the Yorkshire and Humberside Closed Judo Championships.
These were held at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Bradford.
Armughan Syed won a bronze medal in the 38kg category for boys under 16 years of age.
Fourteen year-old Joseph Selman had his best result to date winning a silver medal in the 73kg category in the same age group.
Pride of place though went to Adam Firth, who although still only 16, had another excellent day winning the men's 73kg category.
A pupil at Guiseley School Adam also beat the winner of the 81kg category.
