Ilkley's under-11 rugby team travelled across to the west coast at the weekend. Despite Southport's physical size and the ability to put out two sides most weekends,
Ilkley played with total commitment winning 45-5.
After a night at Charnock Richard and a surprise tour of the Lancashire suburbs on Sunday morning (they got lost!), the team continued as they had started beating Tarleton 35-0 and Ormskirk 40-0.
Such was the dominance, they even tried injuring some of their own players during a warm up in order to even things out!
Forwards held their shape well and were seen rolling mauls against big opposition.
The backs spun the ball unselfishly, allowing Eaton in for a brace. Young Dobson also came close.
The tour trophies deservedly went to Barker (Coaches award), Hunt (Parents award) and Connor (team player award).
Tourists were: Anthony, Armitage (four tries), Barker, Bryett, Coleman, Connor (nine tries), Dobson, Dowling, Eaton (two tries), Hunt (one try), Maguire, Miller, O'Hara, Palmer (one try), Potts and Stephens.
