Farsley Celtic will be aiming to bounce back from Tuesday's unfortunate defeat and re-establish their UniBond Division One title aspirations when mid-table Kidsgrove Athletic visit Throstle Nest tomorrow.

The midweek loss cost the Celts second place in the table. They were leapfrogged by Matlock Town, who won with goals in stoppage time of both halves. The Celts now trail Matlock and leaders Hyde United but only four points separate the top three.

"I think we are very much still in the hunt for the championship. It was only one defeat and it doesn't make us a bad side," said Celts boss Lee Sinnott.

"We were disappointed but there are some twists and turns still to come, I'm sure of that. We had a word with the players after the game and told them they were okay to feel down and they would probably feel the same the day after. But that is it, it's gone now. The lads will be up for the Kidsgrove match, there is no time for any hangovers from it. We have to concentrate on winning games and putting pressure back on the teams around us."

The squad is still 16 strong and Sinnott will make a final decision in the morning. He has no new injury concerns and let the players have a free night - 'a breather' - by cancelling training on Thursday.

l Guiseley could do their nearest neighbours a great service tomorrow should they win their fixture because they make the short trip over the Pennines to face Hyde United.

"We have the most difficult game in the league this weekend, the leaders away," said Guiseley manager Neil Parsley, who is concentrating on his own preparations rather than thinking of Farsley.

"My assistant Clive Freeman and myself watched them at Ossett Town on Tuesday and they got a draw. They played well for an hour but could have ended up losing. It strengthens the popular belief that any team can beat any other. We will have to work our socks off and keep tight to them, not let them play an expansive game, get in their faces. I want our lads to throw the gauntlet down to them and say give it your best shot because it will need to be a good one to beat Guiseley."

Talisman Simon Parke is fit once again and could have played last Saturday had the home game against Leek Town not been postponed. Parsley was happy to have the break after taking just two points from the last four games.
