Bulls coach Brian Noble won't be confirmed as Great Britain coach in the near future.

Club chairman Chris Caisley has responded to a letter from the Rugby Football League seeking clarification on the Bulls' proposal for Noble to do the job on a part-time basis.

"We'll wait until we hear back from the RFL and then we'll discuss it," said Caisley.

"But I don't expect anything to happen just yet."

Proposals for the future of the salary cap were tabled at a meeting of Super League club chiefs on Wednesday, with any decision on the matter deferred until the clubs meet again in May.

But Caisley confirmed the alliance between the clubs that oppose

lowering the cap - Bradford, Wigan and St Helens - was still firmly in place.

"It's true that some of the clubs have already made their minds up, and us, Wigan and St Helens are still standing together," he said.

Meanwhile, Caisley has called on Bulls fans to defend the club's title as the country's best supported club.

"Leeds Rhinos have clearly pushed their numbers up and there is a bit of rivalry there.

"We need our fans to come along and get in behind us."

l First-team squad member Richard Moore was in rampaging form as the Bulls' senior academy side maintained their 100 per cent record in the grading phase of this year's competition with a 42-14 win over Halifax at Odsal last night.

Moore scored a try and off-loaded at will as the Bulls overcame a sluggish start to run away with the match.

Scrum half Ben Western was another to impress as he tormented Halifax with his pin-point kicking game.

Justin Hunter, Andy Smith, Paul Clarke, Brett Ferres and Matt Bottom all crossed for the Bulls.

The game at Oldham, which was cancelled because of an unfit pitch, has been rearranged for next Tuesday night at Odsal at 7.30.
