The Russell Street Project, in Keighley, has teamed up with a primary school to help adults keep up with the latest technology. Started in January, the adult computer classes at Denholme Primary School have proved so popular that a waiting list has now been set-up to cope with demand.
Russell Street Project co-ordinator Allan Clark said: "We did a pilot scheme last summer and it went very well indeed.
"We take the laptops and tutors up to the school and use their IT suite.
"It's a fully nationally accredited certificate in IT as an introduction. I've even now been asked by the council to look at setting up a similar scheme in Cottingley."
Classes at Denholme take place on Tuesday evenings, from 7pm to 9pm, and Wednesday afternoons, from 3.15pm to 5.15pm. More than 50 people have signed up for classes, which run for 15 weeks.
Training and education centre the Russell Street Project, aims to encourage people to take up new skills.
It trains people who have missed out on education, or who need a qualification so they are able to find jobs or go into further education.
