A SKIPTON man is calling on Craven Housing to repair his kitchen which was damaged during flooding around seven years ago.
Dennis Goodwin said that his Greatwood Avenue home filled up with inches of water after nearby drains became blocked.
He said along with other household items his kitchen units and floor were ruined and years on he is still left with the damage - including crumbling holes in his floor which he covers over with carpet.
Over the last few years he has had a number of small strokes and is now registered disabled.
He said: "I'm fed up. I have asked them to get the holes sorted so I can put a carpet down. I don't want the holes patching - it wants a complete scree."
Director of Craven Housing, John Sykes, said records showed that the house was scheduled to receive work on the kitchen floor, worktops, removal of a unit door, repairs to the front path and the replacement of a window. These were due to be completed before April 7.
