Silsden - Nick Twigg showed tremendous skill in hurricane-like conditions to put himself on the winner's rostrum for the second week running. He was top performer in the Texas Scramble with team mates Alan Lampkin, Andrew Isherwood and Glen Brown.

Bracken Ghyll - The club's ladies team beat a strong Northcliffe team in a sudden death play-off to progress in the Daily Mail National Championships last week. The team of Chris Knowles, Gunilla Vriesendorp, Gill Witherington and Karen Lampkin fought hard against their low handicap opponents finishing the day at two matches all. As the last player out, Karen then held her nerve in the play-off winning the match for Bracken Ghyll on the 20th hole. The team is now through to the third round.

On the first day of spring there was a good turn out for the monthly Stableford in spite of very windy conditions and although the scores were lower due to the weather the leaders turned in some respectable scores.

The provisional results are: Division 1: Russell Beck 40 points; Steve Pelkowski (37); George Burrell (36). Division 2: Andy Quinn (34), Chris Jones (34). The Wednesday Stableford was played in more better conditions the provisional leaders being 1 Brian Turner (36), 2 Andy Hunter (35), 3 John Northrop (33).
