Crossflatts clocked up their 15th consecutive league and cup victory when they beat AC Victoria last weekend.

They have cruised to the championship of the Premier League with ease with an impressive 18 wins out of 19 games. Crossflatts are also in the final of the Wharfedale Senior Cup, where they will meet local rivals Sandy lane.

The team started afresh this season with a new sponsor, Halton Homes, and new player-manager, combative midfield player Ronnie Cartwright. Leading them ont he pitch is centre-half Joe Lunn who is captain of County amateur side Otley Town.

Ex Bradford City youth player Damien Lee has led the way up front with 38 league and cup goals so far. Among other performers is ex-Preston North End player, Spencer Harrison and another foermer Bradford player Peter Atkinson.

Crossflatts beat Headingley in a pre-season tournament and will be hoping to complete a trophy hat-trick when they play the Senior Cup final in April.

Last week they beat Keighley rivals AC Victoria 3-2. Lee Bailey opened the scoring for Crossflatts early in the first half after a neat interchange with Damien Lee. Lee then scored his 37th goal of the season.

Victoria pulled a goal back but Lee scored his second of the match to increase the lead to 3-1. Victoria started a spirited comeback, reducing the deficit to 3-2, but they were unable to force the equaliser.

In the First Division, the match between Oddfellows and Crossflatt Royals saw a young Royals team run out easy winners.

On a heavy pitch and with the wind against them, Royals went in at half-time with a 1-0 lead through James Mudd.

In the second half, Royals converted more of their chances and goals from Mudd, Matthew Hannan, Matthew Dean and an own goal saw them run out easy 5-0 winners.
