The Cougars are looking to string back-to-back victories together for the first time this season when they visit Workington in the Arriva Trains Cup tomorrow.

With their final two group matches to be played at home, backing up last week's fine victory over Halifax with a first away win will give the Cougars a great chance of progressing to the knock-out stages.

But coach Gary Moorby isn't expecting Workington to roll over as easily as they did at Cougar Park, when they were thrashed 42-2 in the second round.

"I've been involved in the game for 25 years and I've never had an easy game in Cumbria," said Moorby.

"They are tough sides up there. We had a good result against them at our place but I am sure they'll be wanting to put one over on us to make amends for that heavy defeat.

"I don't expect we'll beat them as heavily up there as we did down here but I certainly don't expect to lose. I expect us to show some consistency and mount a bit of a challenge to get through to the next round."

Finding that consistency before the National League programme kicks off will be vital to the Cougars' chances of staying in the First Division. Moorby knows last week's performance must not be a one-off.

"We have worked quite hard over the last of couple of weeks and it all just came together last Sunday. Our defence was awesome.

"It was a big plus for our fans because they've been let down once or twice this season, so I'm really pleased for them as well."

Prop Richard Mervill is still out with an ankle injury but other than that Moorby has a full squad to pick from.

No one will be happier than Great Britain star Stuart Fielden if his brother Jamie signs on at Cougar Park later this week.

Last week's Arriva Trains Cup player of the round, Cougars prop Danny Ekis, is a close friend of Fielden's and the Bulls prop regularly heads to Cougar Park to watch his mate play.

"I've got a bit of love for Keighley because I've been watching Danny play for them for a few years and obviously I want them to do well," said Fielden.

"We've been playing quite a lot of Sundays recently but when we don't I pretty much get out there to watch

them at every opportunity." Jamie Fielden, a massive 6ft 5in 19st prop, is currently without a club and has been linked to the Cougars.

Stuart would love to see him join the club. "There is a bit of talk of that. He's been over to see Gary Moorby but he does have to keep his options open so he can do what's best for him.

"It would be great for me. It would save me going to two different clubs to watch them.

"I think Jim could do a real good job for them and it would be good if he did go there."

Moorby also has his finger crossed that Jamie will bolster the club's propping ranks.

"He tells me that he's definitely interested," said Moorby. "He's hoping to make a decision this week. He's a giant. I think he'd be great addition to our squad. I'm hopeful that he's going to come."
