In what has so far been a sea-son of returns and reunions for Mick Withers, tomorrow night's comeback match against Salford is pretty much par for the course. When With-ers makes his return after a month out - but only one game missed - due to a shoulder in-jury, he'll be reunited with school friend and fellow full back Joel Caine.A prolific points scorer, Caine was a year behind Withers at school in Sydney and followed in his steps by joining the profes-sional ranks at West Tigers (formerly Balmain)."We've fol-lowed the same path and both ended up over here," said Withers."He was a really good schoolboy. He had some good seasons with the Tigers. He's one we've got to watch out for. About two or three years ago he was up there with the top points scorers in the NRL. I don't know what happened but he's come across here and it will be good to catch up with him after the game."Withers will also be catching up with former Bull Scott Naylor and former Ireland team-mate Gavin Clinch, who have both joined the Reds' ranks.Missing the Huddersfield match has given Withers' problem shoul-der - originally damaged in a crushing hit by St Helens wing Dom Feaunati - the best part of a month to heal."It's had plenty of time to rest. It was just nerve damage but it seems to be gone. It's a lot better now," he said."We've used the time off wisely, with plenty of rest and rehab to make sure I was right for the tough schedule coming up."Withers didn't quite say as much but it's clear the Bulls will use tomorrow's match as a dress rehearsal for the massive Easter encounters with Leeds and St Helens."It's two differ-ent levels. We are using the Sal-ford game as a stepping stone. We'll look at our performance and try to get through the 80 minutes doing what we want to do and playing how we want to play."We are looking forward to the big games coming up but we have to go out and perform this week. It won't be hard get-ting up for it because we didn't play last week. We are all pretty fresh and are ready to go."And Withers knows Salford will throw everything at the de-fending champs. He said: "They don't want to come here and be embarrassed so, like every team, they'll play their socks off. If we are not switched on they'll cause us a bit of trouble but we are pretty confident if we all turn up in the right frame of mind we can do the job."l The home match against Hull has been switched from Sunday, April 25 to Friday, April 23 to accommodate Sky.The match against War-rington, originally scheduled for Sunday, April 18 will be moved to a later date as the Wolves are in action in the Challenge Cup semi-final against Wigan.
