A mother today vowed not to return her bullied daughter to a Bradford
secondary school which has been condemned by school inspectors for
failing to control unruly pupils.
Immanuel CE Community College, in Thackley, which was declared a
flagship school when it opened in 2001, was placed in special measures
by schools' inspection service Ofsted last month.
Pupils were yesterday given summaries of the inspectors' report to take
home as the school closed for the Easter holiday.
The report is highly critical of the quality of teaching standards
which, it says, has hampered students' progress.
The full version of this story is in this evening's Telegraph & Argus, and will appear on the website later tonight.
It also states that staff have failed to control disruptive pupils and
it notes that none of the school's own achievement targets have been
met.
