Ken Salmon has retired after 15 years as a delivery driver for Colin Appleyard Motorcycles in Keighley.

He was presented with a 'thank you' cheque on behalf of the company by Colin and Peggy Appleyard. And staff clubbed together to buy him a power washer.

Colin, the company's managing director, said: "During all his years with us, Ken never had a day off sick. His job entailed delivering bikes the length and breadth of the country and it was not unusual for him to set off and deliver a Honda Goldwing in Cornwall at 8 o'clock in the morning and be back in Keighley in the afternoon. He was very popular with everyone. We will miss him."

Three other members of staff - mechanic Bob Akrigg, service manager Malcolm Wright and sales director Craig Holmes - are celebrating after notching up 25 years' service. Seven employees have now reached the milestone.

The presentation ceremony coincided with the 25th anniversary of Colin Appleyard being appointed the UK's first official Suzuki car dealership.
