Keighley Ladies were definitely up for the cup as they competed in and won the Bradford City Memorial Tournament at the weekend.
The four team tournament saw Keighley beat Farsley Celtic 1-0 in the opening fixture thanks to a Lauren Speight goal. They followed that up with another 1-0 win over Bradford City, striker Fatima Khatun scoring the decisive goal. Finally, Keighley put arch-rivals Silsden to the sword -- despite fielding a patched-up side -- with a 2-0 victory. Goals from Khatun and Becky Grainger proved enough to earn the silverware. Meanwhile, Keighley Ladies face Hebden Royd at Marley on Sunday, noon kick-off.
