ANOTHER hectic week of Devonshire Carpets Craven & District Football League action is in prospect, with league and cup matches providing a busy schedule.
On the league front the focus tomorrow will be on the Premier Division, where front-runners Skipton LMS have home advantage against Cross Hills and their closest rivals Grindleton entertain Grassington United.
The opening of the cricket season has again left Embsay struggling to fulfil their commitments - a situation which the league will probably have to rule upon.
Division One title aspirants Gargrave have a potentially testing trip to Barrowford, while in Division Three, second-placed Gargrave Reserves will be hoping to close on leaders Pendle Athletic when they visit lowly Hellifield Sports Reserves.
The spotlight switches to cup action on Monday when LMS face an interesting Northern Plant Hire Trophy trip to Bronte Wanderers, the winners taking on Skipton Bulldogs in the final after the Division One side upset the form-book by toppling Cross Hills in the semis.
That final will be played at Gargrave on May 5.
Monday also brings the tasty prospect of a Sandylands derby in Division One when Skipton Bulldogs entertain Skipton Town, while Cowling will be hoping to keep their survival hopes alive when the entertain bottom club Horton.
Wednesday brings the Division Two League Cup final at Gargrave, where Cross Hills Reserves take on Intake Reserves, while Thursday sees the action switch to the Premier Division, where Cross Hills will entertain Skipton LMS in the League Cup semi-final.
