REVENGE was sweet for Ian Holmes last week as he put the disappointment of the first Bunny Run behind him to win the second.

37-year-old Keighley athlete Holmes -- five times English and four times British fell running champion -- gained revenge against 18-year-old Mark Buckingham who pipped him to the post in the first event before Easter.

But there was no mistake this time from Holmes, with 22 previous Bunny Run wins under his belt, as he led home a massive field of 255 runners.

From the field of 255 entrants, 76 were ladies with Bingley's Lisa Mawer winning her first ever Bunny Run.

Star of the evening was Lincoln's Blue Haywood however who smashed the female under-14 and female under-16 records to finish only seconds behind Lisa Mawer in second place.

Blue, the English under-13 English champion and 2004 national cross country champion was the 'celebrity' of the event. The final race in the series takes place on April 27.
