Queensbury coach Basil Richards is keeping his options open tomorrow when his side meet Dudley Hill Eagles in the Jack Senior Memorial Bradford Cup final at Odsal Stadium (3.30 pm).

The former Warrington and Huddersfield Giants forward is awaiting fitness checks on full back Steve Eyles and utility forward Mark Craft before naming the side that will attempt to retain the trophy.

He explained: "My regular hooker Steve Senior is out of the country so I may have to draft a couple of youngsters in if necessary.

"However, scrum half Carl Smith has fully recovered from a knee strain, which is a huge bonus.

"The Eagles will have our utmost respect and there will be no complacency whatsoever from our lads - just hard work and total concentration."

Dudley Hill Eagles are two divisions below 'Bury but they are in no way overawed by the task.

Eagles' coach Lee Collins said: "Queensbury are a good, well-drilled physical side but we have an excellent blend of youth and experience.

"Danny Whiteley is one of the best half-backs around and hooker Carl Simpson will lead the pack. One to watch for the future is our straight-running centre Danny Adams.

"It's 16 years since the club played in a Bradford final and we are not going to just make up the numbers."

The Hudson Foster Supplementary Bradford Cup final between Undercliffe and Bank Top Harriers is the curtain-raiser at 1.30 pm.

Undercliffe will claim the higher ground, having already completed a Division Five league double, but they are bound to miss influential prop forward Richard Wadsworth, who has knee damage.

His front-row colleague Craig Adamson looks certain to play, however, having recovered from a shoulder injury.

Undercliffe coach Pete Dutton was upbeat, stating: "I hope this is third time lucky for me having lost out twice before with Victoria Rangers.

"Both teams know each other inside out, which will add plenty of spice. I will be looking to our hooker Dave Taylor to fire because when he does we always play well."

Bank Top Harriers' supremo Simon Mitchell picks from a full-strength squad.

He said "We will stick to our usual brand of a hard defence and attacking at pace in the back line.

"Our half-back duo of goal- kicking scrum half Bob Brown and the pacy Carl Brian at stand off hold the key to us winning the first piece of silverware in the club's history."
