There is still time for amateur photographers to enter the Telegraph & Argus calendar competition.
Cash prizes are up for grabs in the contest to find 12 pictures of the district to feature on the 2005 calendar.
Due out in September, the calendar will feature scenes from Bradford, the Dales and the Spen and Calder Valleys.
Retired accountant Alan Whetton, 76, of Primrose Lane in Gilstead entered a snow scene shot at Coppice Pond, St Ives in Bingley.
He said: "When photographing snow you have to be very quick and I was lucky that day because the sun was out too.
"I leapt out of bed that morning and the scene just looked so lovely. The sun was shining and the autumn colours were great.
"I took my first photo 60 years ago but have been really passionate about it for the past ten years."
Competition organiser Deborah Nicholson said: "We have had a good response to the competition and there have been some great entries so far, with really diverse subjects.
"There is still time for people to take part though and get their entries in.
"If they have a favourite place or have a picture that they think captures the area we would like to see it and they could win a prize."
The best entry will make the calendar cover and win £500 and another 11 will win £50, plus ten copies of the calendar.
To enter, send a print (min 6ins x 4ins) with the entry form stuck to the back to Deborah Nicholson, Editor's Secretary, Telegraph & Argus, Hall Ings, Bradford,
BD1 1JR by Wednesday August 11.
