Bradford City's 25-year season-ticket holders will tonight quiz members of the club's steering committee over the decision to charge them an extra £150 to take up their seats next season.

The Bradford City Support-ers' Trust has helped organise a meeting at the Valley Parade banqueting suite starting at 7.30pm which will give supporters their first chance to talk to the new steering committee.

The five-strong group have been running the day-to-day affairs of the club over recent weeks as a deal is put together to present to creditors.

The meeting has been organised in the wake of the furore over the administrators' decision to ask 25-year season ticket holders to pay an extra £150 for tickets for the new season.

Steering committee member Steve Longbottom urged as many 25-year season-ticket holders as possible to attend the meeting.

"What we want to do is let these people understand how important they are to us and the future of the club," he said. "We need to try to improve the level of communication with these people and discuss with them a way forward together.

"The situation as far as the administrators are concerned is very clear because these 25-year season-ticket holders do rank as unsecured creditors.

"However, we want to discuss the situation going forward, and particularly for the period when, hopefully, we are out of administration and come to some sort of arrangement."

Supporters' Trust vice chairman Phillip Marshall said: "Many of our members are also 25-year season-ticket holders. We have had a number of requests from members and fans generally asking the trust to find out more about the reasons as to why the club chose to ask 25-year season-ticket holders to pay for their ticket for this season. We considered that the best way to do this would be to approach the steering committee and agree with them to arrange an open meeting for the fans, in particular 25-year season-ticket holders, to attend."

Meanwhile, a five-a-side football tournament has helped further boost the coffers of the Telegraph & Argus Save Our City Appeal.

City fan Paul Jacques organise the event hosted free of charge by the Phoenix football centre in Thornbury. And the Phoenix had good reason to celebrate when the team representing the centre won the final 6-0 against Bankfoot.

The tournament featured almost 80 players and raised more than £620. Paul thanked Phoenix and AB Medals and Awards of Greengates for supporting the event. The medals were presented by City striker Kevin Sanasy.
