Ben Harris plundered the Skipton attack for a second time this season to keep Burley's bid for a return to the top flight firmly on track.

The Aussie, who smashed Skipton for an unbeaten 79 in May, hit a wonderful 129 not out to help Burley canter to a nine-wicket triumph that deepened the visitors' relegation worries.

Harris put on 170 for the first wicket with Ian Frost who was then dismissed for 62 before Burley comfortably eased past Skipton's 215 for eight, the highlight of which had been a knock of 89 by Robert Walker.

Tong Park remain second after half-centuries from Nick Murden and Chander Sheikar helped seal a six-wicket triumph against a Silsden side that had started the weekend in third place. Burley remain eight points clear of Tong Park but the leaders are crucially now 20 points clear of the rest of the field and seemingly set for promotion.

Collingham are third after a seven-wicket win over Thackley, who had at one stage been struggling at 58 for five. Paul Dover's 53 and 42 by James Trees helped Thackley rally to 180 for eight but the home side had little trouble in claiming the win.

Steeton are up to fourth after an unbeaten 84 apiece from Alex Howarth and Neil Spragg clinched an eight-wicket win at Illingworth.

Calverley moved out of the relegation zone with a two-point losing draw at Pool, hitting 173 for six in reply to the home side's 210 for six.

Ilkley now occupy the second relegation place after claiming just a point from their trip to Knaresborough. Chasing the home side's 268 for eight, Ilkley managed 189 for eight in reply with Mark Luffman top-scoring with 75.

The battle to avoid the drop in Division A took a possibly decisive turn with Menston failing to press home their advantage at home to Guiseley.

The visitors were allowed to recover from 46 for six to 219 all out with Mark Best hitting 76 and Paul Eachus 59 and this total turned out to be too much for Menston who managed 166 for seven in reply.

Menston's slip-up means they are now five points adrift of third-bottom Otley who were thumped by nine wickets at Beckwithshaw.

Rawdon's fine recent form continued with an eight-wicket win over title-chasing North Leeds. Chasing 172 for nine, Rawdon cantered to victory with an unbroken third-wicket stand of 96 between Matthew Hutton (56no) and Duncan Stow (37no).

North Leeds' defeat allowed Bilton to open up a seven-point gap at the top with a winning draw at home to Adel, while Hall Park remain bottom with just 14 points after a five-wicket defeat to Green Lane.

In Division C, Harden crashed to a seven-wicket defeat at leaders Bardsey despite Andy Bailey and Steve Bateman both hitting 33.

Bolton Villas raised hopes of avoiding having to apply for re-election with a second win in three games. Richard Slater took five for 77 to restrict Upper Wharfedale to 178 for eight before Gareth Johnson's 71 guided Villas to a seven-wicket win.

Villas remain bottom but are now just eight points behind Ben Rhydding who had to settle for a point from a rain-affected clash with Addingham. Ian Winterbot-tom hit 58 for Ben Rhydding in a total of 202 for seven while Addingham managed 115 for seven in their rain-affected reply.
