An emphatic win over bottom club Skipton ensured that Burley maintained their grip at the head of Division B. They now have an eight point margin over second placed Tong Park.

The bat dominated at Burley with the bowlers having to work hard to keep runs to a minimum and in this respect Burley did better than Skipton.

Skipton made 215-8 with fine knocks from R Walker (89) and C Parker (53). Nick Brook bagged 4-63 and Richard Harrison 3-40 as the pitch favoured the batsmen.

Burley's Australian import Ben Harris showed his style with runs all round the wicket in a beautiful knock of 129 not out.

Together with Ian Frost, who made 62, he shared an opening stand of 170 which was the foundation of a win just done in time prior to the threat of rain.

Half-centuries from skipper Nick Murden and Indian overseas star Chander Sheikar saw Tong Park clinch a six wicket win at Silsden.

Silsden were dismissed for 141 as Mick Scott took 3-20 and Ian Jackson 3-43. Murden and Chander Sheikar then put on their batting display to ensure an easy win for their side, Murden not out on 53 and Chander Sheikar being dismissed for 50.

Collingham lie in third place, 12 points behind Tong Park, after their seven wicket win at home to Thackley.

Thackley posted a score of 180-8 with a half-century from P Dover and a knock of 42 from Jimmy Trees. Ollie Driver bagged 4-50 for Collingham who had Matthew Cooke in fine form with the bat hitting 65 to seal victory.

Steeton's Alex Howarth and Neil Spragg (each with 84 not out) shared an unbroken third wicket stand of 180 to five their side an eight wickets win over Illingworth.

A superb 95 not out from opener A Ledger helped Illingworth to 181-4 but Steeton got home comfortably enough with six overs to spare.

Pool set Calverley a target of 210-5 which proved too much but they hung on at 173-6 to share the spoils. For Pool opener Richard Henry batted well making 81 and he had excellent support from Phil Dibb (33) and Mark McEneaney (54).

Ilkley hung on for a point against a Knaresborough side that had posted a superb 268-6 with openers S Carey (91) and J Corcoran (78) sharing a stand of 168.

This was despite the efforts of Darren Jayes who took 5-63. Mark Luffman struck 75 no as Ilkley replied with 189-8.
