Rising jazz star Clare Teal's previous gigs near her home town have been swift sell-outs and her latest on September 21 is likely to be no exception.

The Kildwick woman, who recently signed a major recording contract with Sony and now hosts a Radio 2 jazz programme, performs at King's Hall in Ilkley.

She is getting used to playing to bigger and bigger audiences thanks to her "gifted" vocals and "melodic, intuitive and witty" self-penned songs.

Clare recently played the Glastonbury and Edinburgh festivals, and performed with the BBC Big Band and jazz legends John Dankworth and Cleo Laine.

Tickets are already selling fast. Book on 01535 656015 or e-mail trev@caboodlepromotions.co.uk.
