A SKIPTON woman is set to hit our screens next year in racy television drama Footballers' Wives.

Former Aireville School pupil Elaine Glover, 21, was delighted to get the part in the hit ITV series straight from college.

Elaine will play an au pair called Katie - looking after Tanya and Conrad's baby. She will appear in at least four of the show's nine episodes, set to be aired in January.

After Elaine left school, she went on a two-year performing arts BTEC course at Leeds before moving to London's Rose Bruford College where she gained a 2.1 in a BA (Hons) Actor Musicianship.

Elaine, who now lives in London, said that she was astonished to get the part. "I never thought I would get it because it was too fantastic to be true."

She was thrown into filming just two weeks after finishing college, shooting scenes around London and also in a £5 million villa in Spain.
