A schools transport boss has welcomed extra funding and new guidance to set up greener transport schemes.
The Government is concerned about the number of children being driven to and from school each day - adding to rising obesity levels among children and increasing traffic congestion - and has promised to introduce a new School Transport Bill to Parliament.
