Silsden's FA Cup exploits in their first season on the non-league ladder earned them plaudits but on the day of the second qualifying round they will be back in league action.

Flixton are the visitors to Cougar Park in the North West Counties Division Two match.

"The FA Cup was great while it lasted but we have a chance to put points on the board now and we must grasp that opportunity," said Silsden manager Andy Geary.

"Flixton are similar to ourselves in respect of results and placing in the table, we are sixth and they are seventh. The league is starting to take shape now and we want to keep up with the pack.

"If we can manage that who knows what the second half of the season might bring?"

Jimmy Spencer (groin) and Dale Hoyle (ribs) both missed last Saturday's FA Vase tie against Harrogate Railway Athletic but are back in contention.

Eccleshill United are at home in the Northern Counties East Premier Division and they have two players definitely out of the clash with Mickleover Sports.

Striker Chris Wood is missing for five or six weeks with a broken foot and former Bradford City youth Gary Tyson is beginning a seven- week suspension after two yellow cards.

Thackley make the trip into North Yorkshire to take on Pickering Town in the same division. The Bradford side will be without striker Darron Morris, who has an Achilles injury, and Mark Bentham, who joins the second team for match practice.

Stuart Burgess takes Morris' place after recovering from injury himself and Joel Etienne returns to the squad after being on duty for the West Riding County FA team last weekend.

"Pickering have come good over the last three games so we expect a tough match," said Thackley boss John Boyle.

"But it is a nice surface over there and they are a team like ourselves who get the ball down and play a passing game so it should be good for the fans and a good advert for our league."
