Having exited the FA Cup at an early stage, Guiseley are aiming to capitalise on the fact that many of their UniBond Premier Division rivals are still involved when they host Bishop Auckland tomorrow.

They have played two games fewer than some clubs but the midweek win over Wakefield & Emley lifted them back into the top ten in the table. The confidence is high after the recent addition of three players - and two good performances.

"We want to win this one because three points could take us up six places but a defeat could see us lose almost the same amount of ground," said manager Neil Parsley. "There have been six changes to the team over the last week with the new players coming in and Neil Grayston moving into midfield, Simon Parke going up top and Pete Sumner coming in from the bench.

"There has been an upturn in form despite us losing a 2-0 lead at Burscough last Saturday and I want the home crowd to reap the benefits of that. They get agitated very quickly at Nethermoor and we need to get them back on board.

"We want them to realise that we all want to see the same thing, a good home display and a win for Guiseley Football Club. Nobody, from the chairman through the players to the backroom staff and the tea lady, wants it more than Clive Freeman and myself."

One of the new signings, Craig Edwards, is sidelined after going over on his ankle while running a coaching course. The player, captured from Scarborough, will be out for a week to ten days.

Danny Forrest comes back into the squad.
