THE Skipton branch of the Royal British Legion is planning a big parade through the town next year to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
The war in Europe (VE Day) ended on May 8 and in the Far East (VJ Day) on August 15, but the date of Sunday July 10 has been chosen for the big parade.
