West Craven Warriors Under-14's 0, Cubs 52 -- Relegated from last years premier division, West Craven found life in division one to be just as daunting when they came up against a rampant Cubs side who were in devastating form. Kelly was first to cross the line followed by further tries from Carlos, Cawood, Chapman and Coulthread. Cartledge landing a conversion to build up a 0-22 half time lead for the visitors. The second half followed the same pattern with tries from ex Craven player Burton(2) Benfield, Ross Hudson, Ireland and Bolton. Man of the match Cartledge landing three more goals

Cubs Under-13's 20, Newsome Panthers 14 -- Newsome fired into the game producing a 10 point gain after only 10 minutes but, a resolute Cubs defence stopped the onslaught and fought back with a try from Cameron Spencer to produce a score line of 4-10 at the half. After the break the Cubs showed a resolute defence and began to edge the score line in their favour with tries from Ethan Hawksworth and Matty Bailey, with Luke Whiteley adding two successful conversions.

Cougars Under-12's 0 Siddal 22 -- The Cubs came up against arguably the best team in the Premier division. A tight opening 10 minutes saw no score but then a slick passing move from Siddal finally broke through the cougars defence. Two further tries round the outside of the cougars defence helped Siddal to a 16-0 lead at half time. A much stronger second half by the Cougar Cubs limited Siddal to just one more scoring opportunity. Siddals defensive line was constantly tested by Gwyn Drysdale, and live wire Man of the Match Jamie Pickles. Lee Thompson picked up the Coaches but overall this was a creditable performance with many positives to take forward as the season progresses.

Cubs Under-11's v Elland -- Games between Elland and the Cubs are always a tough game and today was made even tougher as it was the Cubs first game of the Season. Though they were beaten the players were able to take pride in their effort. Man of the Match Sam Tyson and Top Tackler William Doveston, were rewarded for their contribution to a good team performance. The coaches award went to Try scorer Alex Whitehead who also went onto convert is own try. For outstanding individual effort Adam Hanson was awarded the most Improved player award. The Cougars other try was scored by Harry Page.

Brighouse Under-10's 10 Cougar Cubs 38 -- A superb team performance saw the under 10's beat a spirited Brighouse side. Man of the match David Meyrick bagged five tries and also assisted in two other tries. For the second week running the defensive work of the Cubs saw three players reach double figures in the tacle count, with the Top Tackler award going to Aaron Stevens. More good work both in attack and defence saw Adam Robinson get the Coaches award. Kieran Riley picked up an award for a good individual try in the dying minutes of the game.
