CYCLISTS braved thick clouds and howling gales on the Three Peaks Cyclo-cross race last weekend.
Bingley Harriers athlete, Robert Jebb, clocked up his fourth consecutive win in the gruelling 38-mile race in a time of 3hrs 4mins 52secs.
The race takes in the summits of Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent and is rated the toughest cyclo-cross event. It attracts riders from across the globe with competitors from the USA and Australia among the line up.
Keighley-based cyclist Chris Young took the Over-40 title in 3:35:34 and was tenth overall.
Ian Taylor took 14th place in 3:37:35 and Keighley's Aire Valley Racing was fifth team with Robin Bradbury (3:50:14) in 30th place, 42 Tim Gill of Haworth (3:58:18), 89 Andrew Nicoll (4:19:25), Mark Whitaker of Aire Valley was 148th finishers in a time of 8:41:26.
The ladies race was won by Louise Robinson in 4:0:21.
