Stuart Reardon began last season as a fringe squad player at his home-town club and ended it a Harry Sunderland trophy winner.

The elusive full back's crucial second-half solo try set the Bulls on the way to a 25-12 victory over Wigan and saw him named man of the match.

This year he's been an ever-present in the Bulls' line-up and is being touted for Great Britain selection in the forthcoming Gillette Tri-Nations. Circumstances may have changed for the West Bowling product, but the way he's feeling ahead of tomorrow's showpiece final hasn't.

"I feel just the same," said Reardon.

"The build-up is okay but once you get into the changing rooms it hits you. But everyone feels the same. Everyone wants to do well. It just comes down to who handles it the best. Leeds will want to win it just as much as us, but hopefully we can all play well and win it again."

Last year's victory over Wigan went by in a blur, said Reardon.

"I was glad we won and it was nice to get man of the match in my first final. I'll never forget it, even if I never achieve anything else.

"The big games go a lot faster. I can't remember much of it. It went so fast. I remember my try, but I was sort of in awe because the stadium was so big and there were so many people."

As for being the answer to the problem right-wing slot for his country in the Tri-Nations, Reardon isn't so sure he's the man for the job.

"I don't think I'm good enough yet, not on the wing. I haven't played enough in the position. But I have been picked for England A so hopefully I'll get a chance against Russia and France. If things like that happen they happen, but I don't think I'll be there yet - maybe in a year or two when I'm a bit more experienced."

He has a chance to join a select band of players who've won the Harry Sunderland award twice, but Reardon will be taking things one play at a time.

"I'd love to win it again but it will be hard. I'm in a different position this time and it will be hard to get it on the wing if the ball doesn't come your way. I'm sure Mick and Deacs (fellow previous winners) would love to win it again as well.

"But I just want to play well, put in a good performance and not let any of my team-mates down."
