Former Keighley News journalist Anne Farrell has died, aged 70.
Mrs Farrell began her journalistic career on the old Bingley Guardian before joining the KN in the early 1960s.
After a three-year break due to family commitments, she returned to the KN in 1964 and resumed her work as a woman's page feature writer. She later worked for the Telegraph & Argus, the Halifax Courier at the Todmorden office and the Yorkshire Post.
Mrs Farrell, who lived at Shipley, came from a journalistic family. Her father Hal Williams was assistant editor of the T&A and her uncle Harry Williams was news editor and chief reporter of the paper for many years.
She was a former student of Bingley Grammar School.
After retiring as a journalist she and her husband Jack, who died earlier this year, set up in business in Keighley running the Gallery 4 Picture Shop in North Street.
