Four women gather in the living room of a house in the middle-class Berkshire housing estate in the latest Keighley Playhouse production.

They're waiting for the local "Ladies Man" who thinks he's arriving for an intimate evening while the householder's husband is away.

Instead, in Leslie Darbon's thriller Time to Kill, the lothario finds himself handcuffed and put on trial for murder as the women hold a kangaroo court.

But as the court to decide whether to execute him for causing his lover's death from a drug overdose, it emerges that everyone has an ulterior motive.

The twist-packed drama is staged by the Playhouse on October 25-30 (7.30pm) at their Devonshire Street theatre. Book at Keighley Information Centre in the town hall or phone 08451 267859 (office hours) or 01535 604764 (weekday evenings).

Anyone interested should contact Ellie on 01535 648158 or Rachel on 643760.

n The railway comes to the centre of Silsden on October 23 in the latest light-hearted musical play from the touring Mikron Theatre Company.

He said: "It charts Britain's glorious, and not so glorious, 200 years of railway history and wryly satirises the pleasures and pitfalls of rail travel.

"Our four talented actor-musicians show their versatility by playing a dozen instruments including cello, violin, euphonium, guitar, trumpet and accordion."

On the Line is performed at Silsden Town Hall at 7.30pm. Phone Jim on 01535 670717 to book.
