If you fancy singing in a rock band then Keighley outfit Angel Chain Diaries might want to hear from you.

But if you do approach them just make sure your talents are good enough to rival the band's existing members.

These boys know how good they are and so far eight singers have failed to make the grade with the indie rockers.

"No one can deliver the same dedication, talent or range that their musical counterparts so clearly possess," said a band spokesman.

Angel Chain Diaries will be showing off this talent tonight as they perform with Chicago blues band Blues Breakdown.

The gig at St Anne's Social Centre, North Street, Keighley, comes after three summer concerts and three recent charity shows raising more than £6,000.

The band, seen at this year's GuideFest, also supported Tony Wright's band Laika Dog last Friday at the New Variety Club.

Angel Chain Diaries was formed almost two years ago from the remnants of pure blues and rock band Aspire.

"The idea was to play various genres of music within one band," said the spokesman. "This would be a reflection of the eclectic musical influence of the members.

"The number of gigs played is extremely limited due to technical and rehearsal difficulties, and music relationships.

"Although we have received mixed reviews one thing remains -- the music is influential and refreshing."

Following tonight's gig -- admission is £2 -- the band will record a demo at Beaumont Street Studios.

n Keighley band Breene has landed the support slot with punk legends The Vibrators when they play Keighley's New Variety Club on March 17.

The gig is one of several planned for next winter and spring by Keighley music promoter and Skeletal Family musician Roger "Trotwood" Nowell.

Trotwood's planned Paul Weller concert has been rescheduled to February 13, at Victoria Hall, and tickets for the original November 5 concert are still valid.

n Clare Teal performs her award-winning jazz tomorrow at Sheffield Octagon.
