Cubs Under-14s 22 , Headingley Hawks 10 - Once again the Cubs gifted their visitors a six-point lead but steady organised play was rewarded when Walton latched onto Kelly's crossfield kick to score out wide and Cartledge added the conversion.

Haythornthwaite scored in the corner just before the break and in the dying seconds Coulthread chased the restart to feed Carlos who powered his way over, giving the Cubs an eight point lead.

On the restart the visitors again scored first but the home side once again kept their cool, Walton scoring two more tries to complete his hat-trick and keep the Cougars 100 per cent league record intact

Cubs Under-12s 14 West Bowling 10

Winger Shaun Newton dived over in the corner for his first try of the season to complete a superb move.

They scored again when man of the match Chris Spencer set up Conor Caveney with a well timed pass that allowed the prop to claim his first try for the club.

Two quick Bowling tries meant the score was 8-10 to the Bradford side at half time.

Good approach play by Jordan Aitchison and Ben Stead set up Chris Spencer to step through the Bowling defence. Ben Stead kicked the goal to take the points in an enthralling match.

Cubs Under-11s v Queensbury

An off colour Under-11s suffered another disappointing defeat against Queensbury.

Adam Hanson (Top Tackler) and Jamie Stephenson (Coach's award) put in a huge effort in defence but it was not enough to stem the flow of Queensbury tries. Most Improved player was Anthony Garnett and Alex Whitehead was man of the match.

Other scorers were Jamie Stephenson (try) and Adam Hanson (conversion).

Cubs Under-10s v Brighouse

A determined Brighouse team faced an Under-10s defence that was out to make a point. With half the team making double figures for tackles made it was going to be hard to pick a Top Tackler, the award eventually went to Kieran Riley for two outstanding touchline tackles.

Scott Williamson was awarded the most improved player award fand was unlucky not to get a try to reward his effort. In the second half the Cubs had to face the upward slope of the pitch and the team relied on excellent passing from the forwards, the Coache's Award went to Devan King who made good distance into Brighouse territory to lay off well-timed passes that resulted in a couple of tries. Brighouse awarded the man of the match to Aaron Stevens for one of his best performances. Tries were scored by Kieran Riley (2), Thomas Goodings (2), David Meyrick, Joe Buckley, Aaron Stevens and Jack Winterburn who crossed for three tires, one of which was a cheeky interception.

Cubs Under-9s v Queensbury

The Cubs came up against a determined Queensbury team and both sides matched each other try for try in the first half, the Cubs just edging ahead at the break. Strong running and some brave defending saw the Cougars take control in the second period with tries comming from Connel (top tackler) Dixon, Seeley (man of the match), Moorby, Conway and Akrigg (outstanding effort). .

Cubs Under-8s v Queensbury

Queensbury were the victors in a hard fought game, going in at half time the scores were level and all was to play for in the second half. Joe Mash (Top Tackler) led a strong and determined defence that could easily have turned the game the Cubs way. The Coach's Award went to Connor Dunford. New boy Sebastian Aucott was awarded the Most Improved Player award.

Man of the Match was Jack Adams who left the field at the end of the game with a brace of tries. Other Scorers try scorers were: Joe Meegan and Jamie Millar. Conversions: George Heath and Joe Meegan.
