A team of girls from Holy Family School took part in a tag rugby tournament at Bradford & Bingley Rugby Club's Wagon Lane ground.
Before the competition the girls had three training sessions from a qualified coach and came away with wins over Parkside and Beckfoot Grammar School.
They showed great character in their first game against a strong Parkside team, keeping the scores level at half time. The second half belonged to Holy Family, playing some superb rugby to win 10-8.
In the game against Beckfoot they took a first half lead and went on to win 8-4 with Jade Charlton the top try scorer.
Team members were: Alice Rogan, Zoe Bailey, Jade Charlton, Bridie Reeves, Hannah Ellis, Sophia Hobson, Catrin O'Neill, Rachel Gillard, Jade McGuiness, Becky Reape, Joanna Sheppard, Demi Barnett and Kelly Wroot.
