ANDREW Davidson will continue as Settle first team skipper, but in a reduced capacity.
Davidson had intended to step down from the role due to family and increased work commitments. But his decision to carry on was finalised at the club's AGM last week.
Off-the-field duties such as fundraising for the proposed new clubhouse will be shared between other members, while Davidson has been given the OK to miss the odd game for a family holiday. He will still oversee club professional Robin Morris.
The experienced Keith Hornby was announced as the club's vice-captain.
The AGM was very well attended after what was one of the Ribblesdale League club's most successful seasons. They won the Ramsbottom Cup, finished second in the league and reached the last four of the Lancashire Cup.
