Crossflatts Royals came withing a whisker of toppling the Clothiers unbeaten record.

They took a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes with a well worked goal scored by Matthew Dean.

Clothiers worked hard and pulled the goal back 10 minutes before half time and the teams went in honours even at half time.

The second half saw Crossflatts and Clothiers playing some good football both having chances they were unable to convert.

The score reamined level till the last second of the game when a long throw by Clothiers was headed in to his own goal by Crossflatts defender Craig Durn.

Bell Deans 8-0 victory over New Inn was a family affair.

Dave Gatenby Snr opened the scoring for Bell Dean in the second minute as they put six past New Inn in the first half. Although Dave Gatenby Snr doubled his tally he was out shone by his son Dave Gatenby Jnr who scored a hat-trick with Ben MacKinder scoring the other goal.

In the second half although both father and son both scored a furter goal each they were kept from scoring further goals by a more determined New Inn who tried to get back into the game but to no avail.
