Wibsey's lead at the top of the Mumtaz Premier Division was cut to only two points after they slipped up 2-1 on Saturday to championship rivals Golcar United.

Wibsey suffered a setback when Andy Biggs scored a 20th-minute goal for Golcar, but despite creating chances Wibsey were unable to break down the home defence.

Golcar doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time when Paul Gilbertson was fouled by the Wibsey goalkeeper, and Lee Holmes made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Wibsey came back into the game in the second half and Damian Melvin pulled a goal back, but despite constant pressure on the home goal they were unable to find the equaliser.

Campion moved up into fourth place and extended their unbeaten run to eight games with a 2-1 home victory over Heckmondwike Town, substitute Andy Wilson netting the winner with two minutes remaining.

Earlier Tariq Hussain's opener for Campion was cancelled out by Rob Wilson.

There was no joy for Tyersal at Ardsley, where they went down 3-1. And the odds on Steeton beating the drop are getting longer, despite signing Silsden's Jimmy Spencer to boost their goal tally. His second-half brace was fruitless as visitors Bay Athletic enjoyed a 5-4 victory.

Otley Town's Paul Boddy was on target with a second-minute goal at Hemsworth Miners Welfare,

But Town were unable to capitalise on their early advantage and ended up losing 2-1 after second-half goals from Andy Davis and a Scott Collins penalty gave Hemsworth victory.

Dudley Hill Rangers had their promotion prospects from Division One dented when visitors Salts ran out 5-1 winners. Mark Burnham netted four times.

Littletown's Steve Batley will be ruing missing a first-half penalty at home to Altofts. Leading 2-0 at the time, Littletown were coasting to an easy victory but the visitors took advantage of Batley's miss and netted four times in the second period to win 4-3.
