Thackley face their second meeting with Glasshoughton Welfare in the space of four days tonight when they meet their Northern Counties East Premier Division rivals at Dennyfield.

The Bradford club have home advantage following the 2-2 draw at Glasshoughton on Saturday. While Thackley manager John Boyle is not a big fan of back-to-back fixtures he is confident of beating the opposition.

"It is always difficult when the teams have met last time out. The players have sized each other up, but I will be disappointed if we don't get three points," said Boyle.

"In general it's a bad thing because if the first game was a particularly physical one there can be little vendettas. The thing is that we get on well with Glasshoughton and there was not a bad foul or cynical challenge in the whole of Saturday's game.

"That will help but they were the better side in the second half on Saturday and we went from not expecting anything less than a win to being glad we got a point. I think our players will show more desire at home."

Liversedge are also in action but they face another away trip as they journey to South Yorkshire to take on title contenders Sheffield.

"We have two or three players ruled out through work commitments because we have to meet early to make the tea- time trip down the M1 and then through the centre of Sheffield," said Sedge boss Eugene Lacy.

"Jonny Haig and Pat Gaughan are two big players who can't get off work soon enough to join up with us. It is not ideal preparation for facing many people's favourites for the league."
