Silsden are the hosts for the biggest game of their season tonight when Conference side Halifax Town visit but the choice of keeper is very much in the air.

Ever-present Martin Foulger is laid up with a foot infection and there is no understudy in the squad. Former Eccleshill United stopper Stuart Wilkinson is expected to fill the void for this West Riding County Cup quarter-final but his appearance is still not confirmed. "He is on a plane on his way back from Tenerife and we are just waiting for him to ring up and say he has landed," said Silsden boss Andy Geary.

"Martin spent Sunday afternoon in casualty. The blisters he has been suffering with have become infected. He has been told to rest and to put no pressure on his feet at all for two weeks.

"Our second-choice keeper was Adam Ackroyd but he emigrated to Spain a couple of months ago. "We have two 16-year-old lads in the Academy and the reserves but the County FA have refused permission for them to play.

"This is, on paper, the biggest game in the club's history, there could be a crowd of around 1,000 at Cougar Park."

Bradford Park Avenue also have a big fixture, the winners of their second-round Conference League Cup tie at Stalybridge Celtic host Halifax in the next round. "The squad will be the same as Saturday's, I found out that new signings would have been eligible to play but we can't get anyone in," said Bradford boss Carl Shutt.

"We had a good training session on Monday and the mood was fine among the lads."
