Helen Grange is a fraction of the woman she was when she said 'I do', but husband Steve still thinks she's fabulous.

The 32-year-old mum, from Coleridge Gardens, Idle, has managed to shed more than six stone since April and is set to mark the occasion by renewing her wedding vows on Valentine's Day at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, thanks to GMTV.

Mrs Grange entered a competition and has been chosen as one of 50 lucky couples who will be taking part in a live broadcast.

She said: "I weighed 18 stone 6 pounds, and I was just fed up with wearing the same clothes.

"I wanted something that was a bit more fitted, and I was sick of buying plus sizes.

"Now, I feel great and I can go in to any shop and buy anything."

The mum-of-two said she had been overweight since she was a child, and had gained more weight when she had her two daughters, Olivia, 10, and two-year-old Karis.

She joined a Slimming World group, at St Andrew's Church, Eccleshill and the weight started to come off.

She said: "I joined a gym in November just to tone up a bit, and just followed the eating plan."

Mrs Grange entered a GMTV competition two weeks ago and told them about her new image.

She said: "I wrote in about my weight loss and how I don't look like the same person Steven married, and how I wanted to show him how much I still love him.

"I was stunned when they rang to say I'd won.

"I had my head in the washing machine and my daughter answered the phone.

"I never win anything, and when they were telling me I'd won, my heart was going."

The couple met in a pub in 1997, married four years later, and have been together since.

They will drive down to Oxfordshire on Sunday, February 13 and will be picked up

from their hotel at 5.30am on Valentine's day.

The rest of the day is a surprise and will be revealed after filming.

A spokesman for GMTV said: "Helen's letter impressed us with her honesty, and was so full of love for her husband that we just had to offer them the chance to renew their vows on our programme.

"Along with our other 49 couples, we wish them all the best for the rest of their lives together."

Mrs Grange has already picked out her dress which is a few sizes smaller than it would have been this time last year.

Mr Grange, 30, a print assistant, will wear a pinstripe suit.

He said: "She looks fabulous.

"But at the end of the day, I take somebody for what's in their heart and even if she had kept the weight I would have felt the same."
