Oxenhope Rec made it seven straight wins with a sparkling display against Cononley.

It took two minutes for star man Dan Moriarty to smack the ball into the roof of the net from 20 yards after good work from Simon Knaggs.

After five minutes it was 2-0 after Steve Davies headed home a Moriarty corner .

Oxenhope were playing great football and were unlucky not to go furthur ahead.

Cononley looked stunned and rallied briefly before a good move on 40 minutes let Joel Gallagher finish to make it 3-0 at half time.

The second half saw the same pattern with Oxenhope shooting uphill but playing to same style. Moriarty now on fire took the ball round three players before hitting the bottom corner with a stunning shot.

Oxenhope added a fifth through Simon Knaggs.

Cononley then piled five men up front and resorted to the long ball game in a bid to salvage something from the game. With 10 minutes to go they were rewarded with a goal and just five minutes from time they were awarded a dubious penalty to get a second.

Oxenhope's victory was made even more sweeter when they received news that LMS had beaten Gargrave which meant Oxenhope go top of the table for the first time this season.

n The Reserves lost 4-3 in their semi-final with Liam McNichol bagging two. But they now have to concentrate on their relegation battle.
