Mavericks under-12s stormed into the League Cup final with a 7-0 victory over Bingley Juniors.

With so much at stake and little extra motivation needed, Mavericks took control from the first minute.

They were two-up by the 11th minute, with goals from Steven Wilkinson and Oliver Chan, and several other chances went begging in a half totally controlled by the Mavericks' midfield.

In the second half they soon extended their lead, scoring three times in 12 minutes. Chan added two more to secure his hat-trick and Robert Hutchinson grabbed a rare goal to underline a commanding midfield display.

Adam Deering and a second from man-of-the-match Wilkinson in the final few minutes finished off Bingley.

The Mavericks can now look forward to playing Oakworth in the final on May 1.

In the Craven Aire & Wharfe League, Queensbury Celtic under-12s' cup run continued with a convincing 8-4 win at home to Bolton Woods A.

The scores were tied at 4-4 with 15 minutes to go when Queensbury surged ahead with four quick goals.

Scorers were Alex Bickers, Mark Marshall (2), Josh Sfranski, Danny Dimberline and Josh Pullan with his fourth hat-trick of the season.

Eccleshill United under-13s A played excellent football to beat Silsden 6-3.

The victory keeps them in the race for second place in the league.

Goals were scored by C Braybrook, J Broadbent, D Ryan, M Barok, D Dunn and R Singh.

Horsforth B under-nines clinched the Keybury League Group B title with a 5-0 victory over Bradford Tigers, thanks to a Ben Wright hat-trick and a brace from George Westmoreland.

Horsforth finished four points clear at the top, winning 14 and losing just two of their 18 games. They scored 65 goals and conceded 14.

The team went out of the play-offs, beaten 5-1 by Queensbury B, with Wright's consolation goal being his 15th of the season.

Coach Mark Coultas said: "Winning the play-offs would have been the icing on the cake, but what matters is they won the league. I am proud of them. They are a great bunch of lads and deserve their success."

Farsley Celtic Girls under-15s recorded a superb 5-2 win over Leeds City Vixens.

To put the result in perspective, Leeds are fourth in the Four Counties League, above teams such has Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Bradford City.

The match was played in a very strong wind and Farsley had the wind in their favour in the first half and they used it to good effect, with shots flying in from all angles.

However, some wayward shooting meant that Farsley were only able to score four goals, the pick being a goal direct from a corner by Naomi Jayne Scorah.

In the second half, the Farsley team really had to battle against the elements, but Emily Senior showed what a great goalkeeper she is with a string of fine saves.

Goalscorers were Annie Murphy, Naomi Jayne Scorah, Lorna Stringwell and Faye Boshell (2).

Prospect Juniors are still on target for promotion to the first division of the Garforth League after a 5-0 victory over bottom club Bramley Juniors.

Simon McQuiston opened the scoring with a fine goal from an acute angle, and then five minutes later he was brought down in the area and Danny Illingworth scored from the spot.

Sam Oliver added a third before half-time and Luke Dickenson finished off the best move of the game to make it 4-0. McQuiston then outran the Bramley defence to score his 29th of the season and round off the scoring.
