Emma Barclay ran for the Yorkshire team in the Inter-County Fell Champs at The Wrekin, Shropshire, on Sunday.

In Saturday's Lancaster Three Bridges 10k, five Harriers ran: John Atkinson 41st in 38.24; Terry Lonergan 51st and 2nd V55 in 39.16; Cath Wolfenden 68th overall, 2nd Lady and first Senior Lady in 40.10; Andy Wiggans 99th in 42.38; and Andy Wolfenden 144th in 45.26.

More Harriers were at the more local Meanwood Valley Trail (25 of them - almost ten per cent of the field of 288).

This was a counter in the Harriers Running League and was won by K&C's Willy Smith in 43.03 - Jason retains his overall lead, with Nick Pearce moving up into up into second place

At the first of the Bunny Runs, short fell races over three miles. A near-record turnout of 266 runners in the three mile/300ft CS fell race.

Otley AC

Last Saturday at the Meanwood Valley Trail Race four Otley AC runner's took park. First in was consistent Howard Jeffrey finishing 31st in 50.17. New member Phil Robertson ran a very good 61.16 and came 145th.

Dave Cattanach and Antonio Cardinale finished 68.04 and 68.36 respectively. 318 finisher's.

In the fast Wakefield 10k Road Race from Thornes Park. This was won by ten seconds from Mahammed Yakub in 30.05.

Feeling good after Meanwood. Howard Jeffrey finished in 38.24. He was supported by Hannah Peacock who was using it as a prep run for this coming Sunday's London Marathon. Hannah finished in 49.22. Also feeling good from Meanwood was Antonio Cardinale with a time of 50.40.

A little further afield Carl and Helen Walsh ran in the Paris Half Marathon last Sunday. There were 20,000 finishers and was won by Fred Mogaka in 1.01.14.

Club nights are at Otley RUFC Cross Green on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.15pm. All standards are welcome.

AireCentre Pacers

RECENT weeks have seen a wealth of classic off-road races. AireCentre Pacers have been out in force participating, clearly showing the new vigour in the club.

In the Baildon Boundary Way Richard Archer veritably stormed round in 1hr 49mins. Once again, though, he had to settle for second place in the over-60 category. Wendy Astle finished well in 1hr 50min for third in the over-35s, with Angela Crawford just one minute further back.
