Steeton put up a strong battle against Ardsley Celtic, before slipping to a 5-4 defeat.

They were 3-0 down at half time, but fought their way back intothe game with Arron Drake and Stuart Airdrie both scoring two goals.

However, Celtic edged the win with a fifth goal.

Steeton Reserves came up against a strong Campion side on Friday, with a number of first team players making an appearance for Campion it was always going to be a difficult game for the locals.

Things got off to the worst possible start when they conceeded an early penalty, despite Kevin Knappy saving the kick the Campion striker was first to react and drilled the rebound home. It was 2-0 on twenty minutes when the Campion striker rifled home from the edge of the box.

Anthony Fouldger pulled a goal back early in the second half after good work for Chris Fothergill and Steeton were begining to get on top. They went close again through Chris Turner before Campion struck on the break for a third and then hit number four in the later stages. Despite the defeat there was plenty of effort and commitment and they take heart from the fact that they probably won't face a stronger side this season

Keighley Lifts Reserves went down ato a 2-0 defeat at home to Hunsworth.

On Wednesday night Keighley Shamrocks held out for a 1-1 draw with Westbrook YMCA thanks to a goal from John Spruce.

Keighley Lifts Reserves also shared the points after their 1-1 draw with Kirkburton with Alan Harwood on target.
