OVER 250 runners took part in the second of the Bunny Run series of races this week.

Mark Buckingham won the event in a time of 17min 9 seconds ahead of John Hennigan (17:31), with Bingley runner Rob Jebb third in 17:40.

Other top local finishers included: 7 Darren Brame (K&C 18:45), 8 Stuart Hunn (Skipton 18:56), 10 Sam Webster (Bingley 19:08).

Winner of the ladies race was Natalie White in 21:01 ahead of Sharon Taylor (21:10) with Under-14 winner Blue Haywood in third place with a time of 21:19. She travelled from Lincoln to compete and was also the fastest Under-16 runner.

Among those taking part were members of the successful Yorkshire teams which won the Inter-Counties competition in Shropshire at the weekend.

The Ladies team was led home by Mary Wilkinson of Skipton AC who won the race with 2nd Natalie White and 3rd Sharron Taylor.

The Men's race was won by Will Levett of Shropshire with the Yorkshire team led home by Ian Holmes in second place. He was backed up by John Henningham and Alistair Brownlee.
