Tyersal made up for the disappointment of losing in the final of the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division Cup by lifting the Bradford & District FA Senior Challenge Cup with a 2-0 victory over Thackley.

Goals from Lee Poole and Jason Ryan secured the victory at Valley Parade on Friday night.

The following day, Tyersal carried on where they had left off by beating Golcar United 3-2.

Golcar had also been in action on Friday in the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup - where they lost 4-3 on penalties to Meltham Athletic -and both sides took the opportunity to play some of their fringe players.

Dave Scott, Gareth Carney and Andy Carlton were on target for Tyersal with Ben Hawley and Liam Rothery replying for Golcar.

With all the promotion and relegation issues now decided, clubs with games remaining were playing for pride and a highest possible league placing.
