A 16-year-old boy was terrorised, raped and beaten by a man he met in an internet chat room, a jury heard today.
The teenager told Bradford Crown Court he was driven to a secluded spot and sexually attacked after texting Waseem Anwar and arranging to meet him.
Anwar denies twice raping the boy at a park in Shipley on July 5, 2008.
He also pleads not guilty to causing the teenager to engage in sexual activity without his consent and stealing his phone and money.
Anwar, 20, of Carlton Drive, Heaton, Bradford, told police the sex was consensual.
Prosecutor Neil Clark told the court the boy’s friend met Anwar in an internet chat room.
The youngster posed as a girl before he and the alleged victim texted Anwar saying it was a joke and they were both male.
Mr Clark said Anwar texted back saying the boy should meet him “no matter what”.
The alleged victim, who was confused about his own sexuality, arranged a date with Anwar.
Anwar picked him up from outside a supermarket in Bradford and drove him to the park, the jury heard. He parked in a quiet spot and told the boy he was not going home until he had performed a sex act on him, it is alleged.
The boy told the court he was crying and screaming. He was punched in the mouth and hit in the chest.
He said he was forced to perform a sex act on Anwar. “I was traumatised. I thought I might die,” he said.
The boy said he was made to empty his pockets and punched hard in the eye.
He said Anwar ordered him to walk into the woods or he would kill him.
He said he hid behind a big stone until he thought it safe to come out.
He flagged down a passing motorist who called the police.
The trial continues.
